Ely Design Group Projects and Services.

Ely Design Group specialises in the architectural design of residential building projects in and around Cambridge, Newmarket and Huntingdon. These range from modest single-storey extensions, new houses and bungalows for private clients and small developers to medium-scale housing developments for local housing developers and housing associations. We also inspect house building projects during their construction to check that the building works are in accordance with the drawings and building regulations and built to a reasonable standard; we can provide certification suitable for mortgage purposes backed by our professional indemnity insurance.

In addition we carry out traditional building surveying roles including building surveys, party wall surveying, CDM coordinating work together with acting as expert witness in building related disputes.

How We Work With Our Clients.

With the exception of some building surveying activities, such as property surveys and party wall surveying work, we always carry out an initial free consultation at your site or property to discuss your requirements and to inform you of the implications of planning permission requirements, building regulations and the party wall act, prior to confirming the services we can provide for you together with our professional charges.

The success of our business depends on you. Without our clients we have no business.

Getting It Right From The Outset.

Firstly we will listen to you; you and your project are unique so therefore it is imperative that we discuss your requirements, understand the way your property functions and the level of advice and assistance you need us to provide you with. We always arrange to meet you at a mutually convenient time at your home or business to discuss your project and your requirements. Once we have a detailed understanding of your project (the brief) we will provide you with the professional help and advice you require; a 'one size fits all' level of service does not fit! You can, of course, quiz us about our experience, specialisms and any other aspects of planning, building regulations and construction. Please ask us for references - speak to our current and former clients and inspect projects that we have worked on.

Secondly we deliver on our promises. We want you to be entirely satisfied with your dealings with us; indeed, we would welcome your comments about where you think there is room to improve. We will respond promptly to telephone calls, emails, text messages etc. within a short period of time to demonstrate that we are taking you and your project seriously.

Thirdly, we want you to be satisfied with our services. We grow our business by personal recommendations from past clients. We currently have a Referral Policy that offers clients who recommend us to their friends and family a £50 voucher towards a meal at a local restaurant.
